Fort Eustis – 30 miles (34 minutes)
Fort Eustis, VA is located on Mulbury Island on the James River and is the U.S. Army Transportation Center, home to around 17,500 military personnel and civilians who work, live and train here. Established in 1918 as a training camp, Fort Eustis became a permanent installation in 1923. Named for Confederate General Robert E. Lee and built in 1917, Fort Lee serves as the base for Army Logistics and provides support to U.S. Army Joint and Coalition operations. The Combined Arms Support Command, U.S. Army Garrison, Army Logistics College, Quartermaster Center and School and the headquarters for the Defense Commissary Agency are based at Fort Lee. The Naval Weapons Station Yorktown – Cheatham Annex Facility – 7 miles (9 minutes)
The Naval Weapons Station Yorktown – Cheatham Annex Facility (Cheatham Annex) is a 1,579-acre federal facility adjacent to the York River, just outside Williamsburg. This facility offers retail supply support services tenant activities between Cheatham Annex in Williamsburg and Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown. Eighteen warehouses encompass around 2.3 million gross square feet of unheated space and an impressive 300,000 gross square feet of controlled humidity space.

Coast Guard Training Center – 17 miles (24 minutes)
The Coast Guard Reserve Training Center in Yorktown is situated near the mouth of the York River, and occupies 154 acres of land on a small peninsula. Members of the Coast Guard come to this training center for instruction in numerous entry level or advanced training programs. Camp Peary Naval Reservation is located in a densely-wooded area near Williamsburg, Virginia and bounded by the York River. Heavily guarded, this reservation is an alleged Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) training facility.

Langley Air Force Base & NASA's Langley Research Center – 25 miles (36 minutes)
This military installation is located in southeastern Virginia, just north of Hampton and encompasses 3,195 acres. Established in1917 and named after Samuel P. Langley, an aviation pioneer, this facility is the oldest continuously active air force base in the country.
