Life is about changes. We fear change and embrace it at the same time. This article is about closing and making room for new things in your life. It helps you to pack easily as you continue during your lifes adventure!
Our identities, how we perceive ourselves and introduce ourselves to others, strains from life as we know it now. The job we have, how our family lives and the homes we live in are all expanded parts of our psyche. So are moods, feelings, even how we relate and talk to ourselves, these are all part of who we are in life right now.
When faced with some kind of change, whether its work or home, or internal / self-change, we must let go of something old first. It also means releasing our identity created by the thing we are looking to leave. Sometimes we think Good Riddans and are very happy to leave whatever it is like we make the change for and the part of us that was related to that matter. We go straight on and never look back. However, we have often been anchored with the part of us that we leave. Usually, it is safety and knowledge of what we leave, more than we leave, which is hardest to let go.
With some time to put away what you leave behind, you can have more freedom to open your heart to something new. There are a million books and articles about getting over an approach. Lets look at some of the other eruptions that happen in your life.
Lets look at the chance that you leave your job or career. Update your resume right away, while your tasks and responsibilities are still fresh in your mind. Or, if you retire, burn your resume; you no longer need it! Request a special lunch on the last day to effectively say goodbye to your employees. Even if you will be socialized with them on a personal level later, this special time will tell you goodbye to work as you know and the routine you used to be when you were there.
Even if you leave work with bad feelings, you may be impaired or dismissed, it may still be colleagues that you can be confident and thank for what they did to make your work environment better for you. Hold your head up and bite your tongue about anything that is not in your best personal question to deal with. You do not want anything that inhibits you when the first feelings of anger and anger start to cool. Leave the job and close the door. This part of your life is over.
Now, if you move, you might want to thank your neighbors if they were good neighbors for you. Clean the house or apartment carefully to remove the energies that have left your time within the walls. Complete change of address form before moving you can pick them up at the post office or buy a nice set of note cards for this. That way, you will be used to attaching yourself to your new address and start leaving your identity with your old address behind.
What happens if there is an inner change? Perhaps you want to move on from old malicious patterns like negative thought patterns or live victims for the sake of your life. (Congratulations on finding things that are no longer serving you and your willingness to replace them with healthier habits!) Note that the habits you release are habits you chose because something about them served you in your life. Take some time and write what youre missing out on. Describe how the negative habit affects your life, what lessons you learned from it, why you let it go. Then take the letter and burn it as a last farewell. Make sure youre sure to burn it.
Once you have effectively abandoned and say goodbye to what you leave behind, you are free to move on to the new lifes adventure! Keep your eyes on and take your time to acclimatize whats new in your life. Even the best of lifes changes can be scary or stressful and may seem overwhelming sometimes. Its ok to feel all these feelings. Make sure to talk to others and calm yourself down. Give yourself little goodies and break the way to what change it is like you do. Soon, that change will be old news and you will look at another new change. Life is a wonderful adventure so!
The last tip I leave you never underestimate what tomorrows may bring. Remember this when youre faced with leaving other things behind, maybe youre more than pleasantly surprised!
